Our school community has a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. This means that we have a child protection policy and procedures in place.

All staff including our volunteers and supply staff must ensure they are aware of our procedures. This is detailed in our signing in system and can be emailed out in advance on request ( ).

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will always ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with the parents/ carers first unless we have reason to believe that this is not in the child’s best interests.

If you have a concern about a child please speak to Mr Tom Riggs (Executive Headteacher).

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mr Tom Riggs (Executive Headteacher).

Our Deputy Safeguarding Leads are Mrs Rosy Soady (Family Liaison Officer) and Mrs Rebecca McHale (Special Educational Needs Lead).

We all have the right to feel safe all the time. We help our children and community understand that we can talk to someone about anything, whether it feels big, or small.  Our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is available to view below.

We are also required to remind you that referrals about suspected abuse or neglect may be made by the school.
